Burleigh Drummond has appeared in these short stories.

A Relatively Small Sum of Money  - While searching for  a missing heiress, Burleigh Drummond finds deceit and fraud first.

  • Published in Blue Murder and Tangled Web magazines.  It was selected by Otto Penzler as one of the fifty best mystery short stories published that year.

Part of the Plan - Burleigh Drummond is hired to keep a rich kid safe while in jail, but  Drummond has his own agenda.

  • Published in Blue Murder magazine.   This caper placed second in the genre category of the Writer’s Digest Short Story Competition.  This is my favorite Drummond story (including BARONNE STREET) because Drummond's manipulative skills are clearly examined.

Ash Wednesday - On the day after Mardi Gras, Burleigh Drummond forces several people to repent.

  • Published in the Erotic New Orleans anthology and Thrilling Detective magazine.  This story is a re-telling of Cinderella and exists in two versions. The  Erotic New Orleans anthology version reads like a letter to the Penthouse Forum. For the Thrilling Detective version I revised a few scenes to make it safe to use as a bedtime story.

Price Tag Attached - Burleigh Drummond and a sexy New Orleans police detective investigate theft and murder in the shadier-than-you-may-think antiques business.

  • Published in the Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine.  This mystery is a collaboration with O'Neil De Noux where we merge our fictional universes.
